Google SketchUp – 3D Software for Autism
Google’s latest SketchUp 3D modeling program allows people with autism to express their creative side and develop a life skill of using the software. The great thing about the SketchUp 3D software is that it’s free and easy to use. Despite its user-friendly interface, its 3D drawing tools allow you to create and develop cool 3D models of houses, sheds, decks, home additions, woodworking projects and even space ships. With Google SketUp you can even add details, textures and glass to your models. If you can’t figure out what to build or how to use its tools, Google SketchUp has an excellent tutorial which helps you get started with the software. When you’re done with your model, you can save it, print hard copies, post them to the 3D Warehouse or even see them in Google Earth!
