True Blood
Which is the better Love between Human and Vampire story? Recently, HBO aired its own vampire series entitled “True Blood”, September 7 of last year. True Blood was based on Charlaine Harris’ The Southern Vampire Mysteries.Their own version of passionate love between a vampire and human is far more mature, sexy and wildly adult compared to Stephanie Meyers Twilight Saga. Although, we’ve heard about Bella Swan and Edward Cullen’s forbidden love, True Blood also centers around Sookie Stackhouse and vampire Bill Compton’s passionate love affair. Sookie, a telepathic bar waitress, meets the mysterious Bill Compton, as she saves him from a a couple of vampire slayers. Though, there may be huge differences between True Blood and the Twilight Saga, their stories still captivates a huge population of teenagers and adult alike. It seems that movies, books and even TV series involving vampires are considered hot and definitely something we don’t want to miss.

Vaughn’s Birthday Party

We just got back from our province in Oriental Negros, which is typically 4 1/2 hours travel by bus from Cebu. That was 4 days ago, and now, we’re back since me and my husband have shifts tomorrow night. I’m kinda sad because our vacation had to end but there’s really nothing much I can do about it since we need to maintain our jobs to support our little boy.
Well, going back to the very reason for this entry, It’s my son’s birthday today. But, we already held a party at my in-laws place since it was the only time we can celebrate my son’s birthday with our families. The party was nothing fancy nor extravagant but rather simple and special since we only invited people who were actually close to our families. Also, we didn’t have a lot of time to prepare for the celebration since we were unsure of WHERE we would celebrate it in the first place, considering the fact that it’s hard to get vacation leaves approved when you’re working in a call center. But eventually, we got our VLs approved, thank goodness!
Time flies fast. It was just yesterday when I recall how my son looked like when he was still less than a month old and how much I feared of hurting his tiny body every time I carry him. Though, the experience was a lot difficult than I’ve anticipated but motherhood was so far the best thing that ever happened to my life.
So I’ll share a few pictures that were shot during my son’s party just to share my joy and happiness during the celebration!

Megan was definitely a sight for sore eyes during the premier of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen last Sunday in Berlin. The 23 year old actress shows off her perfectly fit figure wearing a long red dress with a hip-high slit which gave emphasis to her golden tone legs. Megan Fox always gave Transformer fans something to look forward to and this is just one of those many woos. I just hope that she decides to get rid of those horrid tatooes on her body. I understand body art but those tattoes just doesn’t suit her. Rumor has it that Megan’s mother, Darlene, was horrified that Megan wanted to have her whole arm covered with tattoes, unbelievable. Darlene practically begged her daughter not to make hasty decisions with fear that these tattoes would jeopardize Megan’s career. She currently has a total of eight tattooes one of which is the obvious etching of Marilyn Monroe. Well, I have no qualms in getting a tattoo but having 8 would definitely freak me out!

Brad and Angelina - Those were the days!
Is it true that Brad and Angelina had finally called it quits? Rumor has it that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie decided to spend some time separately but we all know where this leads to. The couple who fell in love on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith had always been the subject of Hollywood gossip since Pitt broke off with Jennifer Aniston. Comments from sources on the Net would say that the break up is inevitable since the two had had nothing in common. Brad Pitt had always been the laid-back country type of guy while Jolie was the sophisticated rock n’ roll gal. This goes to show how fast celebrities start a relationship and how fast their eyes can blink to end it. But it’s their lives I suppose. I’m looking forward to Brad Pitt’s newest victim, I mean how many women would he possess or victimize before he starts realizing that he should start settling down? We’ve also heard rumors that Pitt has been confiding and seeking comfort with his ex, Jennifer Aniston. Though, he denied this rumor but still no rumor or gossip would leak out without any truth to it right? So let’s just hope that we’ll know soon enough.

iPhone 3G – The Coolest gadget yet!
If you’re gadget crazy then I’m certain that you’ve been hearing a lot of Apple’s new iPhone 3G. Apple has announced to release its latest iPhone 3G model this coming June 19th. Like most I’m looking forward to customer reactions or comments on the new iPhone 3G model since this is something that’s quite expensive so you’ve got to make sure that you’re buying for keeps. I’ve tried searching on the Net for it’s distinct features not inherent on the first model and I was able to learn that the latest model has 10 interesting features that I would quote from pcworld.com. Check them out below.
1. It’s faster
Apple launched the iPhone 3G S by announcing it has a faster processor, more memory and “snappier performance”. Although the iPhone 3G is no slouch, it can be a little sluggish when opening and closing applications. If Apple’s demo videos are anything to go by, the iPhone 3G S will be a much zippier smartphone.
2. It has more memory
Apple will sell two models of the iPhone 3G S: 16GB and 32GB. There original iPhone came with 4GB, 8GB or 16GB of storage.
3. Video recording
Wow! A smartphone in 2009 that can record video? No way! Apple critics will point to the fact that the iPhone 3G can’t record video as an example of a phone that lacks some basic features, but for potential iPhone owners the addition of video recording is a real plus.
4. Improved camera
The iPhone 3G S has a 3-megapixel camera with autofocus, compared with the iPhone 3G’s 2-megapixel, non-autofocus camera. It still lacks a flash, but the increased megapixel count should slightly improve photos and tapping an area on the screen to focus on is a cool feature that should make mobile photography easier.
5. You can talk to it
The iPhone 3G S introduces what Apple calls Voice Control, a voice recognition feature that allows you to make a call and play music by speaking. Voice Control can find any entry in your contacts list, and users simply have to say a name or phone number to make a call. For music, you can ask what song is playing and hear the iPhone 3G S answer, tell it to play your favourite album, or play similar tracks to the current one.
6. It has a built-in compass
A built-in digital compass is another new feature of the iPhone 3G S. We aren’t sure exactly how often anyone would use this as a standalone app, but when combined with Google Maps, the compass will rotate maps to always match the direction you’re facing. Now that is pretty cool.
7. Internet tethering
The iPhone 3G S can now be used as a modem, connecting to a Mac or PC via USB or Bluetooth. Although AT&T in the US won’t be supporting this feature, Optus is one Australian telco that has confirmed it will be. Telstra and Vodafone are yet to announce whether they will offer tethering capability.
8. Accessibility features
Apple has included a number of features that help people with disabilities use the iPhone 3G S. These include Apple’s VoiceOver function, which reads aloud what is on the screen, a zoom function that magnifies up to five times, and a white on black display option that provides increased contrast.
9. Nike+ iPod integration
Previously only available for selected iPod nano models, Apple’s Nike + iPod is a fitness system that involves a Nike shoe communicating wirelessly with an iPod. The iPhone 3G S will be compatible with the system, which displays real time walking or running statistics.
10. New headphones
The iPhone 3G S will include Apple’s remote headphones in the sales package. The new headphones have a multi-button remote and volume control keys, as well as a microphone to handle voice calls.
